About Me
Hi there, I’m Lana! I’m a born and raised Floridian who loves to get outside and explore the Sunshine State (in addition to other countries and states!). My favorite hobbies include reading, spending time with my husband and dog, scuba diving, kayaking, swimming in our pool, eating yummy food, drinking craft beer, and feeling the sunshine on my face!

Why I Started Lost in the Sunshine

My blogging journey actually started a few years ago when I decided to start a travel blog to share about my international trips!
I got asked so often about how I went here and how I went there, so I decided I should share my travel knowledge and tips with the world!
Even with a full time job, I’ve managed to travel to over 15 countries over the last 6 years. Some of my favorites have been Iceland, Japan, Croatia, and Greece!
Once I started to see success and make money from that blog, I realized I was also in a very unique position to start a Florida travel blog. After all, I’ve lived in Florida my whole life and had the opportunity to live in different parts of Florida, including South, Central, and North Florida! So, the idea of Lost in the Sunshine was born.
The name is no coincidence. In fact, it should probably be Addicted to the Sunshine!! I am a sunshine addict, thanks to my Florida upbringing. I don’t know how people live in places where they barely see the sun!
And I know there are so many people out there who love chasing that feeling the sunshine brings. So, I wanted to start a blog to help others experience the Sunshine State and get lost in the sunshine!

My favorite places in Florida include…

Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse

Islamorada (Florida Keys)

Harry Potter World

Blue Spring State Park
